Precision Laser Cleaning for Tooling & Components

Non-destructive cleaning of injection molds, precision tooling, and sensitive components. No abrasive contact, no substrate damage, no dimensional change. Calibrated to the component and contamination type.

Results

Before & After

Tyre mold cleaning — carbonised rubber residue removed from cavity. No abrasive contact. Mold geometry fully preserved.

Tyre mold before laser cleaning — heavy carbonised rubber residue
Before Carbonised rubber build-up in mold cavity
Tyre mold after laser cleaning — clean cavity, geometry preserved
After Clean cavity — no dimensional change, no abrasion
Applications

What we clean

Tooling

Mold and die cleaning

Remove carbonised release agents, contamination, and production residues from injection molds and dies. Non-destructive — cavity geometry is preserved.

Components

Sensitive component cleaning

Precision cleaning of machined components, electrical contacts, and close-tolerance surfaces. No abrasive particles, no chemical contamination.

NDT

Non-destructive cleaning

Clean surfaces for dimensional inspection, CMM measurement, or NDT without introducing abrasion or chemical residue that could affect test results.

The Process

Non-destructive, parameter-controlled cleaning

Pulse energy, frequency, and scan speed are precisely calibrated to the material and contamination type. The laser removes only the contamination layer — the substrate geometry, surface finish, and dimensional tolerances are preserved.

This makes laser cleaning appropriate for precision-machined components, close-tolerance tooling, and delicate surfaces where abrasive or chemical methods would cause damage. All parameters are tested on a non-critical area before treatment of precision surfaces.

Common Questions

Questions about precision laser cleaning

No — when correctly calibrated. Pulse parameters are set to remove the contamination without exceeding the ablation threshold of the substrate. We test on a non-critical area of each component before treating precision surfaces. We can provide before/after dimensional confirmation if required.
In many cases, yes. Portable equipment allows in-press mold cleaning without disassembly. Suitability depends on mold geometry and access — confirmed at quoting stage.
Carbonised release agents, weld spatter, scale, oxidation, surface corrosion, and production residues. Material compatibility and contamination type are assessed before treatment.
